{"id":622,"date":"2015-09-30T11:29:05","date_gmt":"2015-09-30T03:29:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/janmullen.com.au\/blog\/?p=622"},"modified":"2015-09-30T11:29:05","modified_gmt":"2015-09-30T03:29:05","slug":"simply-empty-the-fridge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/janmullen.com.au\/blog\/?p=622","title":{"rendered":"simply empty the fridge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WEEK THIRTY-EIGHT \u2013 (sept. 21-27)<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve been reading my blog of late you will have noticed an increasingly stressed undertone&#8230;.<em>but not this week.<\/em>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Ages ago I promised to take a few friends to our little house, to get together away from it all, to relax and to stitch.<br \/>\nIt turned out that this was the week for me to forget emails, deadlines, meetings, presentations and weekly regularity. Timely.<\/p>\n<p>Over three nights, four friends came and went in various combos.<br \/>\nMy major request was that they understand my need NOT to organise anything (except clean sheets &amp; towels).<br \/>\nMy minor request was that they simply &#8217;empty their fridges&#8217;. I had been hoarding them as both a momento of my past.<br \/>\nOne jumper made for me by mum was spun from the wool of the black sheep that we grazed in our very large suburban backyard in Melbourne!!!<br \/>\n&#8216;Jedda&#8217; grazed on a space equal to our tennis court.<br \/>\nA memorable jumper and a memorable place to grow up in&#8230;&#8230;and yes I do have a quilt designed to commemorate this!<\/p>\n<p>Rather than design a new pattern I simply returned to my <a href=\"https:\/\/patternspot.com\/patterns\/lap-quilts\/2556-one-block-wonderz\">&#8216;One Block Wonders&#8217;<\/a>.<br \/>\n<em>This<\/em> rug will have a knitted side and a woven wool side though.<br \/>\nWhilst these are no longer my colours I am looking forward to eventually snuggling under this rug of love.
