We have owned it for just over a year and will slowly re-vamp the little cottage and the very large garden.<\/p>\n<p>Those paint chips &#8211; they have been talking \u2026stitch me, stitch me!<br \/>\nPLAN A which was to \u2018draw\u2019 an outline with a thread-less sewing machine thereby creating holes to hand-stitch through.<br \/>\nThis was put aside whilst I gave PLAN B a whirl\u2026.success x BIG and I am off on another feather path.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/janmullen.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/DSC07765-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-79\" src=\"http:\/\/janmullen.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/DSC07765-2.jpg\" alt=\"paint chip feathers\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I stitch, on the machine, freehand, and very slowly. I drag the thread backwards and forwards to anchor the stitches around the feather\u2019s perimeter and through the quill only.<br \/>\nThe results are thrilling\u2026..small pleasures that will grow with multiplication.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/janmullen.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/DSC07764-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-80\" src=\"http:\/\/janmullen.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/DSC07764-2.jpg\" alt=\"more paint chip feathers\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So, four weeks in and I am on my way with my first exciting lead.
